Yep, roller coasters are pretty legit. This will be a weekly series on them.
First up, I guess I will talk about my love for them, and the story behind that.
I remember seeing ads for Six Flags when I was little, and I always thought the rides looked awesome, but nobody in my family really like amusement parks, so we never went. I believe it was the summer after 5th grade, when some family friends told my parents about Holiday World in Santa Claus, Indiana. I guess my parents decided to give it a shot, so that summer we went. When I walked through the gates, I was in awe. I have never seen a place like this. I'm not sure the series of events, but I remember was first ride was on the Raven. My dad went on with me. I was so nervous. We went around the sharp left turn, past the station, and started going up the lift. The anticipation buildup was nerve-racking. Finally, we got to the top, took the right turn, and down the drop. I was instantly in love. G-forces everywhere. My heart was pumping. It's all a blur. But we got back to the station, and all I wanted to do was ride again.
